The act of discipline is a great virtue. God in His power has laid down several laws that have been duly broken down to suit the several activities and ways of life of human beings. The laws of Moses, starting from the ten commandments have metamorphosed into the normal natural laws of life that pertain to the issue of morality and decency. Among these laws, we have those that were not written but appeals naturally to decency and good habits and manners. There we have the cases of bribery and corruption, aiding and abetting and several other evil vices that are against the will of God.
Bishop Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church, Winners Chapel is renowned for his strict lifestyle. A fiery man of God to the core. Several cases of indiscipline and any attitude that is contrary to the Bible has been met with staunch rebuke or straight reprimand from the cleric. His ministry, the Winners Chapel Church is located at Idi Iroko, in the Ota area of Ogun State, Nigeria.
According to the church gist, the cleric has bluntly said in one of his sermons that he is a “difficult nut to crack” when it comes to immoral and unbiblical acts such as bribery. He has bluntly enthused that, ten billion devils cannot take bribes from him. This is said in the wise that, he is incorruptible and straight, with the things of the Lord. Furthermore, he has also said anyone should never try to take a bribe on his behalf, hence, such a person could incur a dreadful curse. The cleric has also reiterated his total dependence on the gift of God, which is his major expectation that he depends on. Anything that does not come from God, he has bluntly objected to it as sacrilegious.
Staying put by the words of God and being so organized to follow to blueprint everything that has to do with the fulfilment of the directives of God in regards to decency and incorruptibility is a great virtue that every sane human being must imbibe. It is the bane of life and has its result that favours those who fulfil its ordinances without compromise.
