1. Amir Sjarifuddin (Prime minister of Indonesia)

Amir was born in Indonesia in 1907 and died in 1948. He has studied Eastern and Western philosophy in the Netherlands. Amir converted to Christianity in 1931. He was one of the first independent leaders in Indonesia and developed a political career. He has been Minister of Defense and later he became Prime Minister, the second Prime Minister of Indonesia.

Bahaa el-Din Ahmed Hussein el-Akkad He was born 1949 in Egypt and he was for more than twenty years member of a fundamentalist Islamic group. Bahaa led a mosque community in Al-Haram and was a former sheikh. He later became disillusioned with Islam and began to question certain Islamic tenets. A theological discourse with a Christian led him to conduct an intensive study of Christian Scripture, after which he converted to Christianity in January 2005. For becoming a Christian he was arrested, but finally released from prison in 2007.
