The General Overseer of the Redeem Christian Church Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed the reasons why God places curses on humans.The Anointed Man of God said this in his daily open heaven devotion, Blessings From The Victory At Calvary.
In his message, he defined a “curse” as a condition in which unseen forces that hinder progress attack a person with the aim of destroying him or her.
He explained the reasons why God places curses. He stressed that God does not witch-hunt anyone. He would warn before placing a curse on someone, just like he did with Eve and Adam in the Garden of Eden after they fell for the devil’s trick.
The reasons why God will place a curse on someone are: disobedience to divine law, ungodliness, and all wickedness associated with it.
According to Pastor Adeboye, a blessing, on the other hand, is a result of unseen forces summoned in heaven and sent to the earth to support the beneficiary to succeed, even where others are failing.
