General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye spoke on Perfect Jubilee via a live broadcast on his social media handle 23 hours ago. The pastor while speaking on the said topic, shared two reasons why some women are barren. The pastor while revealing these reasons, cited 2 biblical stories.
1) The Story Of Michal
According to the first Book of Samuel, Michal was Saul’s younger daughter, who fell in love with David and married him for one hundred Philistine foreskins. After Michal was returned to King David, she criticized him for dancing in an undignified manner, as he brought the Ark of the Covenant to the newly captured Jerusalem in a religious procession.
For this, she was punished with a prophecy that to her dying day, she would have no children. Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye therefore said from 17 minutes into the video that some women are barren today because of their personal actions.
2) The Story Of Rachel
According to the Book of Genesis 29, Rachel was one of the wives of Jacob. She was unable to conceive initially not because she sinned against the Lord, but her husband loved her more than the other. However, Rachel later became the mother of Joseph and Benjamin, who became two of the twelve tribes of Israel (Gen. 35:24 & 46:15-18). The pastor therefore said that some women are barren for what they know nothing about.
