Unforgettable things Pastor Kumuyi has changed in Deeper Life Church this year

According to Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, has been quoted as saying, “change is the only constant in life.” Nothing remains the same after many years of existence.

This could be said of the Deeper Christian Life Ministries otherwise known as the Deeper Life Bible Church in recent months. The church which started in 1973 with about 15 members has grown to become one of the largest churches in the world. Many changes have been seen in the administrative pattern of the church. Though, some of these changes have caused mixed reactions from people who wondered and appreciated the changes in the church which was known to be rigid in some things.

The founder of Deeper Christian Life Ministries (DCLM), William Folorunso Kumuyi was quoted by Pulse News to have said that before he dies, he will provide his people with a purer church, without unhelpful doctrines. The recent changes in the church are indications that the respected and celebrated Clergyman is now living out his decisions.

In this article, I will highlight two notable things that have really changed in Deeper Life Bible Church which are indications that the church is embracing revolution to suit the modern age.

Pastor Kumuyi during during one of his sermon explained that he is not afraid of anything except the judgement of God. He said all doctrines of the world will be scrapped, leaving only the true word of God to stand on.

Now, let’s look at some of the changes that have been observed in Deeper Life Bible Church recently:

1. Inviting gospel music artistes outside Deeper Life Bible Church to minister during crusade:

One of the changes is the recent invitation of gospel music artistes to the church crusade as guest music artistes. You would agree with me that this trend never happened years ago.

It started when the church announced that American multi award winning gospel music artiste, Don Moen will minister in Enugu during “Divine Touch for total Freedom global crusade” that took place some weeks ago.

This attracted many controversies about the church which once condemned the use of television for its members.

Again, the church invited Nigerian multi award winning gospel music artiste, Nathaniel Bassey to be part of the crusade.

2. Use of luxuries:

The second change that was noticed was the use of luxury cars.

Pastor William Kumuyi trended on social media platforms after he arrived Abuja in private jet and limousine car. Some people wondered why the General Superintendent would use such luxury car after terming them “worldly things.”
