Pastor E.A Adeboye , General Oversea of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Change they say, is the only constant thing in life. As much as we will all like to stay young and vibrant the natural phenomenon of growth will never agree to this. Youth is beautiful, it carries the most memorable years of our lives (for most people), but it’s a phase and that too must pass. The youthful stage is the phase where we get to learn and unlearn, it’s the point in our lives where we are allowed to make many mistakes in life in as much as we keep learning and growing from these mistakes. Ensuring we use our youth to make impact in peoples live is one of the best things that can ever happen to person.
Talking about making impact in your youth, Pastor E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer of the redeemed church of God makes a perfect example of someone who lived an exemplary youth.
Enoch Adejare Adeboye was born on 2 March 1942 in Ifewara, near Ife, in Osun State, He was ordained a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at a very young age of 35 in 1977. He became General Overseer of the church in 1981. For three years, he filled the role part-time at Unilorin before giving up his university position to preach full-time. As the leader of the church Pastor Adeboye has worked very hard to expand the churches outreach and today the church is established in over 186 countries all around the world.
Formerly a mathematics professor at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, he started working with the founder of RCCG by translating his sermons from Yoruba to the English language. In recognition of his contribution as a global icon and preacher of God’s Word, he was selected in 2008 as one of the world’s 50 most influential people by Newsweek magazine, USA.
This man of God made impact at a young age and continues to make impact even at his old age, as he celebrated 78 years of age.
See these pictures of when he was young and while he was growing.
We appreciate God for sending this great man of God to us and we pray that he live long to do more exploit. I pray for such grace upon Pastor E.A Adeboye’s life on your life.
