This earth is not our home and it will never fully satisfy our longing and yearning.

Joyce Meyer emphasized during a previous conference with thousands of audiences that this earth is not our home. Everyone has somehow felt a yearning or a longing for something that could satisfy us. We all have a void in our hearts that nothing in this world could fill up.

“This thing that we feel, it’s a yearning, a longing, but what we’re yearning and longing for is we want to be home. And this is not home,” Joyce highlighted.

Longing

Nothing in this world could satisfy us because our home is not here on earth but in the presence of God. Only God could satisfy the longing that we have. Only God could fill the void in our hearts. It is only in His presence that we are 100% complete and satisfied.

“This earth is never going to be 100% satisfy us. So you’re always going to have a certain amount of something not right. But instead of trying to fill that with something that you can buy or another relationship, we need to realize I’m just longing for more of God. I want to see Him face to face, I want to live in His presence,” she said.

Satisfy

All the things this world could offer will never make up to what God has given us. So let us stop worrying about the things of this earth and start being the representative of God to this world.

“We need to stop worrying so much about getting everything we want and be a little bit more concerned about doing more for other people and being a blessing everywhere that we go. Let’s light the world up with love, let’s let people out there see what God is really like.”
