In a recent Bible Study program, Pastor Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, spoke about running the race to obtain an incorruptible crown. The man of God went into great detail on the race that Christians are running to enter God’s kingdom. It is a one-on-one race, and everyone will be greeted as such at the finish line. He read the book of Galatians 5:19 which says
“Now the works of the flesh and manifest which are these Adultery, Fornication, Uncleanness, Lasciviousness…”
Pastor Kumuyi, on the other hand, cites a number of cases in which a person is unable to complete the marathon. The most fundamental example is sin, but he focused more on certain types of relationships that could prevent one from entering God’s kingdom. The pastor discusses a variety of topics, including girlfriend/boyfriend relationships, cultism, and watching pornography, among others. The man of God warned young people against such relationships because they are cool but lead to fonication and immorality, both of which are serious crimes according to the Bible.
In conclusion, this is a very grievous sin that every Christian needs to stay away from. It is the sin of immorality and fornication and if we want to finish the race to the end, we need to avoid such sins.
