Apostle Femi Victor Lazarus, born on 15th November, is the esteemed founder of the Femi Lazarus Ministries Ecumenical, also known as FLAME. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of Sphere of Light Church, which is headquartered in Ibadan. He works as a Public Health Professional and is also the Convener of the Campus on Fire Conference. Apostle Femi is proficient in multiple languages, including Yoruba, English, Hausa, and a bit of Igbo.

Apostle Femi Lazarus, hailing from Ogun State, Nigeria, is a preacher who possesses a deep sense of selflessness and passion. He is driven by a divine mandate to bring liberation to those he ministers to. He is an experienced preacher of the Gospel, incredibly intelligent, devoted, committed, and gifted.

According to Apostle Femi Lazarus, his experience of salvation was rather unusual. According to him, “I came back from a night party on the night I dedicated my life to Christ. It was a straightforward exchange between me and my father. The inquiries he posed to me were guided by a higher power, which served as a catalyst for my deepening connection with the divine. I wasn’t actively seeking a connection with God, but it seemed that a higher power was actively pursuing me! The conversation took place after he had a heartfelt discussion with his beloved father, who he deeply admires and acknowledges as a major influence in his life. Since his transformation, he has been actively engaged in helping others find their own spiritual path through powerful preaching and teachings. Apostle Femi Lazarus is also the leader of “School on the Street,” a social impact initiative that has a profound influence on the lives of people of all ages. This was highlighted when he was honored with an award at the Royal Awards and Leadership Summit Ceremony organized by the Ooni of Ife Foundation on January 18, 2020. After receiving this award, he expressed his gratitude, saying, “The land where I had to patiently wait for God’s help to afford a bottle of water worth 5 naira, the same land where I had to walk from campus to campus gate in prayer because I couldn’t afford the bus fare of 20 naira, God has brought honor from that very land.”

He respects and values the guidance of Pastor Bimbo Animashaun, who serves as his spiritual mentor. This is evident in his speeches, teachings, and overall behavior. In the past, he has had the opportunity to meet influential religious figures, including Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere. He, along with two other ministers, Pastor Daniel Olawande and Pastor Lawrence Oyor, visited Prophet Olowere before attending the Latter Rain Conference organized by the Sphere of Light Church in Obafemi Awolowo University. He is a student of Church History and he recently disproved a widely believed rumor about the wife of Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola. Pastor Femi Lazarus defended her, stating that she did not mistreat the God’s General as many believed. Instead, she would lock the door to give him some much-needed rest, as he often had a busy schedule of programs and ministries.

Apostle Femi Lazarus’ Sphere of Light Church has several branches located in Abuja, Ibadan, Ile-Ife, and Lagos. The Sphere of Light Church originated in Ife, Osun State and later, following divine guidance, expanded to Ibadan. A new branch of the Sphere of Light Church was officially established in Ibadan on 19th January, 2020. In addition to its main churches, the Sphere of Light Church also operates the LA Church, a campus-based church for students. Currently, it has two branches located in the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and the University of Ibadan. The Sphere of Light Church is experiencing significant growth, both in terms of its physical members and its online followers. The Church has witnessed remarkable testimonies, including the healing of a Muslim woman who was cured of epilepsy.

Apostle Femi Lazarus is a Public Health Professional who also organizes the Campus on Fire Conference, a gathering that takes place in various Higher Institutions across Nigeria. The Conference recently held in The Polytechnic, Ibadan, was filled with powerful displays of the Spirit. In addition, he operates a mentorship program called the Femi Lazarus Mentorship School, which is offered free of charge.

Apostle Femi Lazarus is a firm believer in the importance of balance and accuracy in media. During an Online Meet-up with Media Influencers, he emphasized the need for the media to avoid exaggerating God’s instruction and to strive for accuracy and precise representation. He highlighted that God relies on the media for accurate information.

Pastor Femi Lazarus hosts a regular online Bible Teaching session on the Telegram app to share the teachings of the word. He leads the Prophetic Prayer Contact (PPC), a morning interdenominational gathering held from 6:00AM to 7:00AM. He also established the Slum Education Initiative with a deep commitment to providing education for children, particularly those who have little chance of receiving schooling.

Pastor Femi is a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and is happily married to Pastor Miracle Femi-Lazarus. The couple got married on December 12, 2020 and welcomed their first daughter, Mofifunoluwa Abigail Femi-Lazarus, on November 26, 2021. They both serve as pastors at the Ibadan assembly, which serves as the headquarters of the Sphere of Light Church.
