Pastor David Abioye, the Vice President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke to his members about certain things they need to know about marriage. The relationship between couples should improve if they want to enjoy their marriage.
He revealed that Bishop David Oyedepo treat his wife like her sisters and she also treat him as a brother. He said that is also the same way he treats his wife. There are some people who are legalistic about their marriage: my wife, my husband, my right, his right. He said that they need to grow to become brothers and sisters because you don’t see brothers and sisters in the family fighting over things. They love themselves passionately.
He further revealed that the legality of marriage is the reason why there are many crises in marriages today. He said that if you see your wife as your sister, you won’t treat her how you are treating her; if you see your husband as a brother, you won’t treat him how you are treating him. He said that these are keys of wisdom. You wonder why some people are living happily every day, they just need to understand these basics.
According to him, he can’t imagine a day will pass without him speaking to his wife. He can’t imagine not missing his wife and he can’t imagine she not missing him. He said that some men do not miss their wives, and some wives don’t miss their husbands. When he travels three days, he can do without talking to his wife and when she travels, she can do without talking to her husband.
