The General Overseer of Believers’ Love World Incorporated, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has given his view on God’s initial plan for mankind. He also gave some Bible verses to back his statement that God didn’t create man primarily to worship Him.
This was disclosed in a video via his Facebook handle yesterday. According to him, God made man to share His glory.
According to Pastor Chris Oyakhilome from 22 minutes into the video: “When God said He doesn’t want to share his glory with another, we have to understand what the scripture says about it. In Isaiah 48:11, God revealed how His name can be polluted by committing adultery or fornication. So every time God talks about sharing His Glory, He is always referring to sharing His glory with mankind. It was His initial plan right from the beginning before He made man.
“Glory refers to excellence and greatness. According to Roman 3:23, it was sin that initially brought men out of the glory of God. So when Jesus Christ came, He came to restore glory to mankind. So when man sins, he falls short of God’s glory. But when the man is back on track, he shares God’s glory. So worshiping Him was never His initial plan for man. God needs someone to share His glory with”.
