Famous Nigerian preacher who is the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has revealed what he did after someone mocked him for not being able to afford some clothes. Pastor Adeboye narrated that when he travelled abroad for a programme many years ago, there was a particular brother who would always pick him up at the airport.
Pastor Adeboye disclosed that on his way to where he would stay, there was a car shop where second-hand Rolls Royce cars were sold and he had the custom of telling the brother that he would one day go in there to buy one for himself. The man of God revealed that after passing the aforementioned place on a particular trip, he saw a boutique advertising sale on discounted prices and he decided to get some clothes.
Pastor Adeboye explained that he later left the shop annoyed because the discounted prices of the clothes on sale were still too high for him.
“The brother laughed because I said I would buy a Rolls Royce could not even afford clothes that were on sale at reduced prices.”
Pastor Adeboye revealed that he then turned to God and said:
“You are my employer. This man is laughing at your employee, so please do something about it.”
The cleric disclosed that the next time he visited the city, another brother had bought him a Rolls Royce car. Pastor Adeboye remarked that if God has said in the Scripture that no one should owe their workers wages, God himself will surely reward his workers.
