A Televangelist and Senior Pastor of Power City International, Dr. Abel Damina said that God is not involved in government and democracy, as such it is wrong for the church to get involved.
According to the Cleric, it was not God’s initial plan for man to rule over another man, and that human government was instituted after the fall of man. He stated that man was to rule over the earth as recorded in Genesis 1:26. “It was not the plan of God to institute human government. That is why it is wrong to pray for the church to take over the government”.
Speaking further the Cleric said the government of this world is not the government of God, that is why Satan is called the prince of this world in John 14:30. “In the government of God, the greatest is the servant (Matthew 23:11). While in the circular government, the greatest is the ruler”, Dr. Damina said.
