Pastor E. A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God told the story of how God lifted a poor messenger boy to become a landlord.
He revealed that a poor messenger boy attended a meeting and God said that someone who was having difficulty paying his rent will become a landlord. The boy was the only one who said Amen. According to the man of God, when he got to the place of work in the first week of January, he saw the Chairman and went to greet him the African way. The Chairman then looked at him and said “Have I given you a Christmas present?” He said no sir. He asked again, “Did I give you a New Year present?” He said No sir.
The chairman then told him that he bidded for a house from the government and won. He said that he does not need it house and he offered the key to the house to him. He went to the address and was expecting a small house but he got there and found a mansion. He looked all over the house and asked, can this be?
According to the man of God, the poor messenger boy went back to the office the following day. He didn’t just prostrate, he rolled to the right, rolled to the left. The Chairman then inquired if there is furniture in the house. The boy said no and the man told him that he changes his furniture every year and he doesn’t even know where to put the ones he recently changed. He then called his driver and ordered him to go and pack his furniture and take it to the boy’s house.
Finally, the man of God revealed that by 31st of December, he was living in one room and was having difficulty paying the rent and by the first week of January he was living in a mansion sitting in the chair that the chairman used to sit on. There is nothing God cannot do.
