HOW THE BLOOD OF JESUS SAVES
To understand how the blood of Jesus saves from sin you need to understand the sanctuary service and sin offering.
The sin offering occurs when a sinner brings a lamb or bull to the alter, he then places his hand on the lamb and transfers his sins on the lamb, the lamb is then sacrifice or pays for the penalty of the sins, it is then sacrificed on the altar and then he will be forgiven ( read Leviticus 4)
According to the law… Without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins( Heb 9:22),Remember, the sinner’s sins was transferred unto the lamb and then the lamb was slaughtered for the sins as a sacrifice to take away the sins, according to the law of Moses everything is purified by blood (Heb 9:22).
In likewise manner: Jesus Christ became the spotless lamb of God( John 1:29, 1 Peter 1:19), who personally carried our sins and the sin of the World on his body to the Cross as a sacrifice that we may be forgiven ( 1 Peter 2:24)
The Bible says ” The blood of Jesus speaks forgiveness( Heb 12:24), by shedding His blood on the cross brought forgiveness and took away our sins. In the old testament under the law sacrifices has to be repeated daily for sins( Heb 10:8) but in the new covenant; since the blood of Jesus speaks forgiveness, His sacrifice on the cross was once for sins for all time, and there is no need for anymore sacrifices because the blood of Jesus speaks forgiveness( Heb 10:12,18, 9:26,28, 7:27, 1John 1:9)
This is how the blood of Jesus saves us from from sin by bringing forgiveness and restoration
“Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,”Romans 3:24-25
“We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.” Romans 3:22
