Apostle Joshua Selman spoke to his members about the grace of God in his life since he started his ministry. He told them how God gave him instructions and his obedience brought prosperity into his life.
He revealed that about 12 years ago, he was in Port Harcourt, already having a ministry. He had seen the hand of God in his life but financially, he was still struggling. He loved God with all his heart and considered himself to be a diligent person. He said that when you’ve done what you need to do and things are not going well, sometimes you need to step back and take advantage of the spiritual investment that is upon a life that has that result. “It is an advantage to the saints,” he said.
He said that he remembered that night during a Christ Embassy conference in one of the model churches. He got inspired by the ministration and though people were laughing, he didn’t see it funny. He was angry and sad in his spirit and he said that his financial life has to change. He had challenged people to sow seeds and give and the next morning when he got up, the Lord gave him an instruction.
Speaking further, he said that he carried everything he had, but the seed inside his bag and for 3 hours he puts his hand on the bag and was praying seriously in tongues that tears were coming out of his eyes. The next day he dragged the bag to church and because there was an overflow, he sat outside. He then revealed that the Holy Spirit decided to embarrass him. When everyone was giving their seed and offerings, the Holy Spirit asked him to remain outside. When everyone had finished, the Holy Spirit asked him to go.
He said that he would not have been ashamed if the bag was good-looking but he had no choice but to drag it to the front. He was determined and wanted things to change so he took the bag and dropped it. He turned back and went to sit outside and the Holy Spirit spoke to him immediately and said, “you have entered wealth.” That was how his story changed.
