The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, shared a story with his congregation of how he was imparted by Reverend Kenneth Hagin.
According to the Cleric, he has narrated this story to his congregation before. He said in 1979, he went to America to attend Reverend Kenneth Hagin’s Camp Meeting. In attendance were some other Pastors from Nigeria. At the meeting, Pastor Adeboye said he saw the demonstration of God’s power through special miracles, different from what he has been seeing at home. He made up his mind to meet Reverend Kenneth Hagin in person before going back to Nigeria, even when he was told it is impossible to do that.
According to Pastor Adeboye, he was finally given an appointment to meet Reverend Hagin, and the meeting was scheduled to last for only fifteen minutes. On hearing this, the other pastors from Nigeria joined him to Reverend Hagin’s office.
“When we saw the man of God, he turned to us and said “what can I do for you?”. I am the one who arranged the meeting but those who came with me started talking. One said “Sir, I want to be distributing your tapes in Africa ”. Another said he wanted to be distributing his books, another fellow said he wanted to be distributing his magazines”.
“He turned to me and said, “young man, what do you want?” I said everything that makes you is what I want. He said what? I repeated myself. So he called his secretary, this one is asking for books, give him books, this one is asking for magazines, give him magazines. This one is asking for tapes, give him tapes and so they left”.
“He turned to me and said “young man, kneel” and I saw his hands coming toward me and he laid those two hands on my head and that is all I remembered. When I woke up, I was on the floor, he was kneeling beside me drained furiously. By the time I got up, I knew I got what I wanted”, Pastor Adeboye said.
