The Senior Pastor of Power City International, Dr. Abel Damina who was preaching in a video on his verified Facebook handle some hours ago said that it is wrong for believers to perform washing of feet because Jesus Himself is the living water that washes all those who believes in Him.
According to the Cleric, “Jesus is the water, He does not wait for you to bring water for feet washing. Jesus himself is the bread, He does not use bread from the bakery.
Every born-again Christian is born into Christ who is the living bread, and as such does not need to eat bread and Ribena as communion. When Jesus washes you, it is once and for all, and when you eat His bread, it is once and for all. It is not a continuous process, because His yoke is easy”.
Speaking further, the Cleric referred to John 6:35. In this Bible verse, Jesus said He is the bread of life, whoever comes to Him will never be hungry, and whoever believes in Him will never be thirsty. “Jesus does not use physical things, He uses Himself”, Dr. Damina said.
