Countless people around the world have different sicknesses and according to Pastor Adeboye, one of the reasons for these sicknesses which many are ignorant of is sin.
While teaching on the topic LET THERE BE LIGHT, he gave a practical example of Jesus in Matthew chapter 9. In the scripture, Jesus simply healed a man by forgiving his sin, just like that man, the root of many people’s sicknesses could be sin.
Pastor Adeboye then advised pastors that they must not waste their time praying for people who are not ready to let go of their sin because if you don’t deal with the root, healing may not be delivered.
He also advised sick people to be humble enough to admit their sinful living, confess, forsake and repent of the sins if they want wholeness. Pastor Adeboye finally emphasized the biblical promise that regardless of what the ailment is, by the stripes of Jesus Christ, any sick person can be healed if they let go of their sin.
