đMy dearest friend. A man of honor you are, David Oyedepo Jnr.
Folks, when you truly love someone deeply, you always consider how what you do or say will affect them. There are certain things a wise husband or wife will never say or do to their spouse, because of where they have placed that person in their life.
Always consider the feelings of your spouse before doing or saying anything, before making major decisions that go beyond impacting you. Donât have the âtheyâll get over itâ mindset.
If what you intend to do will hurt, offend or even disappoint the one you claim to love, you will not do it. If it will please, encourage or thrill them, then go ahead and do it with delight. One of the errors many make is that they feel they can get away with what they do or say in their marriage. Those are signs of the foolish builder Jesus spoke about in Matthew 7.
Please cultivate the habit of thinking first before taking an action. Donât be a husband who uses the most hurtful words towards his wife, or a wife who does the most disrespectful things towards her husband. Donât be the one who devalues their spouse. Youâll be tearing down your home with your own hands. Please note that even how you present your spouse to outsiders matters.
Be respectful of each other in your thoughts, words and actions at all times. Iâll say this forever – even where you have any misunderstandings to resolve, there is a right way to do so. If the wisdom of God is truly at work in you, itâll show in how you communicate with your spouse. And if you lack that wisdom, ask God who gives it freely.
But donât just store up the wisdom, put it to work. Thatâs where the difference is! Seek godly counsel if you need it for your specific situation. As you know, this is general counsel! If youâre single, take note of this truth! Wishing you Godâs best in your marriage and family life. Blessed weekend. CheersâŚ#kemioyedepo #marriage #light #wisdom #crisisproofyourfamily #ontheroadtoido
