Pastor Abel Damina Criticizes Pastors Who Bring Comedians And Music Ministers To The Church- This Is What He Has To Say

The Founder and General Overseer of Power City International, Pastor Dr. Abel Damina in a video on YouTube minutes ago, slammed pastors who bring comedians and music ministers to the their churches. He went further to reveal what the church should be in terms of ministry.

Dr. Abel Damina: “Jesus told us to preach the gospel and not entertaining the people. If you are a serious preacher of the Word, you wouldn’t even think of comedians in your church because it is an insult to the dignity of the ministry Christ gave to us. You can’t employ comedians to take your place on the pulpit for a minute, it is your call to ministry.

“Did you ever see Jesus make people happy by bringing comedians? No! You have the Holy Ghost in you, stop abusing it. Another name for the Holy Ghost is Joy of the Spirit. Comedy is not for the church, it can be done in parties. The pulpit is too holy to play jokes with. The pulpit is a place where you pull people out of hell and not making them laugh.

“I am against pastors who engage comedians and even artists to perform on the pulpit. In fact, bringing music ministers to the church is not in the New Testament. Which Apostle in the Bible brought music ministers? Paul, Peter, James and John? Which of them? None! Music ministry is not a special ministry in the New Testament. Anyone that feels inspire to sing should be examined because the greatest inspiration you should have is in the Bible.

“What songs should be is for the choir to couple all your messages and convert them to songs and sing them during the service. You don’t need to be professional before you do that. The Holy Spirit makes all things perfect. The Bible said we should speak to one another in Psalms, Hymns and spiritual songs; singing and making melody to the Lord”.
