What God Told Pastor Ibiyeomie That Inspired Him to Leave Lagos and Start His Ministry in Port Harcourt

In a brief video sermon he delivered to his congregation, the founder and general overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, shared what God told him that led him to leave Lagos and begin his ministry in the city of Port Harcourt.

He said he loved Lagos very much and wanted to establish his ministry there as it was the commercial capital of Nigeria. However, he abandoned Lagos because God told him to establish his ministry in Port Harcourt. He said he would have been a beggar if he had disobeyed God.

The clergyman said the following on camera: “You know, most of the time when God speaks, we are not humble enough to listen; we are too haughty.” Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub, is a city I adore. However, I was instructed by God, “I advise you to utilize Port Harcourt for your ministry.” I wanted to use Lagos, and if I had defied God, I’m sure I would have used a dish to grovel. Go to Port Harcourt; God commanded me once again. We are in Port Harcourt right now. Are we in pain right now? No”.
