Pastor Kumuyi while speaking on The Unfailing Promise Of Salvation, shared a story where he said “I learned of a woman, who had done something for a rich man before and then to show appreciation to what was done, the rich man deposited a large amount of money in the bank for her, And the certificate that shows evidence that the money belongs to her was issued to her by the same man.
This money in the bank was so big that it could make her live happily, and joyfully for the rest of her life. But all she did was make a frame of the certificate and hang it in her sitting room. Not knowing the value of the certificate.
One, day Mr. Spurgeon went to visit her because she was a member of the same church. While Mr. Spurgeon was gazing around the sitting room he saw a certificate on the wall. And then he said ” madam what certificate is this? And then she said a man I worked for so many years ago gave me the certificate before he died.
And then Mr. Spurgeon said “can I bring it down and look at it? She replied yes. After looking at it he made another request ” can I take it home and study it? She replied yes and told him to please return it after studying it.
What Mr. Spurgeon saw was a large amount of money, that was worth thousands of pounds that has been deposited to her in the bank, but she didn’t enjoy any penny of that money. Spurgeon Later went to the bank and claimed the money.
He further continues by telling his members “I tell you that story to tell you this, ‘ that your salvation has been settled in heaven for a long time ago.
