Following Creflo Dollar’s confession on tithing, the controversial General Overseer of Power City International Church, Pastor Abel Damina, has stated that people should stop saying that he should refund all the tithe he took. The reason, according to him, is that he is only accountable to Jesus, not them.
Recall that Creflo Dollar apologised to his members a few days ago, saying that his teachings on tithing were wrong and they should discard all his videos and books on tithing because the error must be corrected with immediate effect.
In the video, Pastor Abel Damina said: “People are saying Creflo Dollar should return all the tithe he took before they take him seriously. Are they the saviour of the world? Is his repentance to them or Jesus? Is he accountable to them or Jesus? He only talked about his wrong teachings. He wanted to be responsible to Jesus and those looking up to him because he felt he needed to correct the error.
“Jesus is the one that will determine whether he has been forgiven or not, not those saying he should refund the money. If a Pastor discovers he has made a mistake and confesses it openly, it means he is growing and the people under him are safe. As a result, people should stop asking for a refund”.
