Praying to God for wealth when you are not laboring is an abuse of Prayer – Reno Omokiri

Prayer is means of communicating with God, through which we find Favour and uncommon blessings from God. Prayer is the strong foundation for true believers of God, without prayer, you cannot survive in the world we live in.

However, prayer should not be mistaken for working hard and earning a means of livelihood. Some overzealous Christians, exercise great faith without doing anything to earn a living, they believe God will provide all the needs through prayers when they do not work. But the word of God rightly says that faith without work is Dead, another portion says that God will bless the work of our hands how will this come pass when some Christians do not find something to do.

Reno Omokiri, who is a pastor and human rights activist has addressed the issue via his Facebook page. He said that prayer was means of becoming wealthy, the richest people on earth will be the prayer warriors. He made it known that God promises to bless the labor of our hands, therefore you must find something doing for God to bless you.

He further went ahead to talk about the richest people on earth who do not pray. In his words he said;

“Prayer without work is like praying for rain on land on which you have planted no seeds. The richest people on Earth are people who do not pray. Some of them don’t even believe in God. Yet, they are flourishing while you are praying”

He further, urged believers not to stop praying but to pray because they love God and want a closer relationship with him when you want God to do something that is beyond your ability. It is an abuse of prayer to pray to God when you are not making good use of the opportunities to make money around us.
