Sam Adeyemi talks about why pastors should avoid taking sides in politics on the pulpit.

Rev. Sam Adeyemi, the founder and Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, has expressed his belief that pastors should refrain from taking partisan positions while preaching from the pulpit. When asked about the political positions that some Pastors took in the last general elections, Adeyemi said the following: He mentioned that Pastors would be better off concentrating on the teachings of Christ, as it is those values that have a significant impact on shaping behaviors in our society.

During his appearance on Television Continental TVC, the preacher posed an interesting question: “Is it appropriate for a pastor to be involved in politics?” No, I wouldn’t recommend speaking from the pulpit. In my opinion, individuals have the right to be card-carrying members of political parties if they choose to. They might have their own political beliefs. If I were giving advice to a pastor, I would suggest avoiding taking a partisan stance from the pulpit. This is because our congregation consists of members who belong to different political parties.
