Bishop David Abioye has again stated that the reason why people are living and wallowing in sin is because we have refused to call a spade a spade. Meaning, we have refused to address sin by it’s name, we are busy giving sin different baptismal names that will suit us.
How can someone lie and you call it a mistake or slip of tongue? How can a man sleep with another woman who’s not his wife and you call it weakness when such person deserves a hot slap to let him know that his actions are very wrong.
Bishop Abioye also advised his fellow labourers in God’s vineyard to cry up to God for help in case there’s anything troubling their life and making them unfit for God’s service.
The cleric concluded by saying that “if you don’t name sin, you cannot tame sin. Sin is a sinker, if you allow it you will end up under the waters. May God help us all to stay away from any form of sin that displeases God in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
