The founder and Senior Bishop of the Living Faith Church worldwide, popularly known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has warned leadership of Churches to be mindful of how they treat those serving under them to avoid missing the purpose of the call of God in their lives.
Bishop Oyedepo stated this during his teaching in the ongoing programme to mark the 40th year anniversary of his church, Living Faith Church worldwide.
According to the respected Man of God, there is no church where people don’t leave to other churches and it will not be good for stopping others from fulfilling their God given purpose on earth.
Giving some examples, Bishop David Oyedepo said “can you imagine if I kept David (Ibiyeomie) here to be the head User or told Paul (Enenche) to follow me to the Winners Chapel.”
Speaking to the Pastors during the Impartation Service, Bishop Oyedepo said; “Pastors, there is no Church where people don’t live. Hello, you better know that. Jesus is the greatest pastor. One day he lost everybody. Just love people. Just have their Goodwill in your heart. Wish everybody well and it will remain well with you and your ministry. You’re not the savior and you’re not the owner of the flock. He owns the flock and many will be called to ministry from that ministry and doing great things for God.”
“You can imagine if I kept David here to be head usher. See what God is doing through him. If I told Paul come after me, he will come.”
“I told you about what one of our elders said. “What about those who cannot make it to Canaanland? I said “there are other Churches around”. Amen. I was saying that not to put anybody off but I won’t let the feelings of people make me miss God. Can I hear your amen.
“Somebody’s story is changing.
Don’t turn anybody’s departure to a message. That’s not the problem. Somebody went to Yongi “Cho’s place, he said he wants to talk about Iraq. Yongi Cho said “look people are sick, they’re hungry, they don’t know anything about Iraq. Preach their escape to them”. He said “no the Lord told me to”. Drama took place in that Church. While he was preaching Yongi Cho was interpreting the message. He took up the message that day and the man doesn’t understand Korean so when he saw people clapping he said but you said they won’t like the message, he said they like it.”
