Prophet Ezenwa George Ritabbi, founder and senior pastor of Christ As of Old Ministry, has in a video uploaded to his church’s Facebook page, revealed why he returned the money people contributed to building his church.
Prophet Ritabbi said that curse should be upon him if he ever knocked on any man’s door and begged to build his church. He said the money people gathered for him, he refunded because of what they said to him when he first called a meeting for financial assistance to buy a generator from his members.
“I prayed to God that he should bless me or kill me when men disgraced themselves, not me when I called for one meeting in my life. Please, if you can help, let’s contribute money and buy a generator. They looked at me and said, “That is why we don’t like Pentecostal churches.”
He said he was not happy and he said his God is not a rubber. He said he told them eye-ball to eye-ball that their serving God does not profit God, it only profits them, according to Job 23:22. He said the God he served had never been hungry or thirsty. He said that is why he had decided not to collect money from any one of them for the church building.
