In the daily devotional, Pastor Daniel Olukoya shares powerful messages about demonic oppressions and follows them up with possible solutions and intense prayer points. Throughout last week he was on a series that focused on demonic ladders and how the devil use them to climb into our lives, he talked about how important it was christians prayed. Yesterday he shared another very powerful message about conquering forces, he titled it Overcoming Withholding Powers.

Using the story of two brothers and a sister, he emphasis on the importance of prayers. The first brother was fervently asking God for a wife and after days and months the Lord decided to give him a wife, when the angel got to the checkpoint at the second heaven, he was held up and he was told by the brother’s ancestral strongman that he already have a spiritual wife so he can’t marry this sister.

His grandmother also made a deal that the brother will only marry witches and since the lady was not a witch, the angel took her back.

The sister too has been asking God for a promotion in her workplace and God decided to send an angel to deliver the promotion, When the angel got to the checkpoint at the second heaven he was stopped and asked were he was going to, he said he was taking the promotion to the woman. They told him he can’t because the woman had slept with 40 men and 39 of them were demons. So she couldn’t get her promotion.

This is a warning that our sins can hinder God’s blessings and we should try as much as possible to stay away from them.
