Pastor Nicholas James Vujicic is an Australian Pastor who is also a motivational speaker. He was born on the 4th of December 1982, he was born with tetra-amelia syndrome a rare disorder called the Phocomedia. This has to with one not having some part of his body, like the absence of arms and legs.
In the case of Pastor nich he was born without fully formed limbs and arms, he suffered rejection that even he’s own mother refused to see him or hold Him when the nurse brought him before her. The love of a mother never dies or grows weak, it took time but she finally accepts her baby with his pitiful condition and understood that it was according to God’s plan for their son.
Vujicic has two tiny deformed feet, which he calls his “Chicken drumstick” because of its shape. Initially, the toes of his “chicken drumstick” as he called them were fused together, it was through Operation that the toes were separated so he could use them as finger grab.
I know you must be thinking how did such a man survive all this, nich life is a testimony itself, it a testimony of a young man who never gave up in life because of his condition. I know growing up, nicholas must have found it difficult to make friends, pals to lean unto, peers to hang around with, yet he made it through up till this time.
It still baffles my imagination on what kind of suffering one will face in this life that will Justify the evil act Called “Suicide”. If Pastor nicholas could get through to this time, why can’t you? You are completely okay, Two eyes, two hands, two legs, and working eardrums and you still have the guts to question the creator (God). Shame on you.
Truth be told pastor nich once attempted suicide during his childhood days, I’m not justifying is the act, but he strongly preaches against it now, you know the worst part of suicide is that, who is going directly to hell, down here we call it “double wahala”. Imagine you’re born in Nigeria with all these corrupt practices and bad government you decide to kill yourself, Just to find yourself in hell, think about it.
Vujicic thrived in his teenage and as youth coping with the changes in his environment and years of being bullied. Vujicic was able to overcome all this after his Mom showed him a paper of a man dealing with a severe disability, this chaired him. At age 17, he started to give talks at his prayer group, Vujicic graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Griffith University at age 21, with a double major in accountancy and financial planning.
Since then vujicic has been motivating souls and inspiring the downcast.
In 2005, Vujicic founded Life Without Limbs, an international non-profit organization and ministry. In 2007, he founded Attitude is Altitude, a secular motivational speaking company.
