Bishop David Abioye is the First Vice-president of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (also known as Winners’ Chapel). He is also the Senior Pastor of the Abuja Church, Goshen City.
In a recent interview with Church Gist, which took place a few days after the Bishop clocked 60 years old, he spoke concerning the history between him and his mentor Bishop David Oyedepo. While speaking he addressed the widely spread story of how he was asked by Bishop Oyedepo, while Oyedepo was the President of the Joint Christian Campus Fellowship, and it was said that Bishop Abioye refused.
Bishop Abioye explained that it was not a refusal of rejection, but a refusal because he felt incompetent.
He also said, “By my nature, I’ve never liked to be seen in the front of projects, I always loved hiding in the corner and rendering services to people, but suddenly I discovered that it is something I can’t escape.”
The Bishop also spoke on other issues, such as how young Pastors should operate in the social media era. He also shared on how he met his wife, Mary Abioye
