Pastor Mildred Okonkwo spoke to the members of David Christian Center about things that singles should settle before marriage. She said that they need to ask themselves the kind of marriage they want. She said that the kind of marriage you want determines how you will prepare for it. She said that if you want a kingdom marriage, you need to run it with kingdom principles. Kingdom marriage is what Christians practice because they are from the kingdom of God. It is a marriage influenced by God. Everything happening in that marriage is guided by his principles and the Bible.
She then explained that you don’t go to Social Media to get answers for a Kingdom marriage. The answers are in the word, so you need to use it to build because it is the only foundation that is not shaken. You have to have a marriage that is influenced by the word. There are certain examples of people who did these things and succeeded in the Bible. She said that your marriage should honour God and expand His kingdom.
According to her, your marriage is not about you and your spouse alone it is a ministry. It is about showing people what can happen if you rely on God. She said that she and her husband have been through difficulties in marriage. They shouldn’t be happily married because they are completely opposite.
