It is written that in the last days, false teachers would arise. 2 Peter chapter 2 tells us that these false teachers will devise clever schemes just to take your money. It seems that one of the schemes of these false prophets is the scheme of asking you to pay for a personal prophecy and a word from the Lord.
Bishop Oyedepo has said that you don’t need to run helter-skelter in search of any prophet to tell you what the future holds for you. It is your right in Christ to hear God directly.
A wise man said if you think education is expensive, then try ignorance. If you had no idea that you could hear from God yourself, or if you had no idea how you could do it, you will be running around looking for who to do it for you.
The Bible says wisdom is the principal thing, and it commands us to get it. In fact, it says that along with everything we might get, we should also get understanding. Lack of understanding on how to hear from God will leave you at the mercy of these false teachers.
