According to reports from CBN, it was gathered that Cho died after he had battled with a brain hemorrhage, which he suffered since 2020.
Cho is often regarded as the Pentecostal preacher who had the world’s largest church, Yoido Full Gospel Church, and as a result of such outstanding feat in the body of Christ, several gospel ministers have used Cho’s church growth model as a template to run their churches, and some of them have eventually come out to testify of much how much growth their churches experienced after their explored Cho’s formulas.

Two of the preachers who openly spoke highly of Cho’s church growth explosion are: Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and Bishop David Oyedepo

According to his official Instagram page, Adeboye shared that the first time he attended Yonggi Cho’s church, the overall population was about half a million and because the halls could not contain more than 50,000 people, congregants were asked to skip one Sunday to allow other congregants attend.

Adeboye revealed that the experience led him to ask God, “so you can do this?” That must have been a question Adeboye asked because of the impact Cho left on him that day.
David Oyedepo
David Oyedepo is the founder and Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church (LFC).

According to this video, Oyedepo claimed that Yonggi Cho taught him the secret to sustainable church growth. Oyedepo further claimed that Cho has been illuminating his spirit since 1985.

Furthermore, Oyedepo claimed that the first explosion LFC experienced came through Cho’s book on church growth, as he bought several copies and gave them to the pastors of LFC.
Conclusion
Yonggi Cho was alleged to have died at 85 years of age, but his legacy will live on the lives of ministers like Adeboye and Oyedepo.
