Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide spoke to his members at Covenant Hour of Prayer on, the 22nd of August 2022.
According to him, Jesus commanded that we make kingdom advancement prayer our priority in the teaching of what we popularly call the Lord’s prayer. Matthew 6:9-10. “Thy kingdom come” is loaded. Before the end of the world, there are certain things that will happen, that is why we need to pray that ‘thy kingdom come’ and also prepare for the coming of that Kingdom.
According to him, “thy kingdom come” is praying for souls to be saved and established in the faith. Colossians 4:12. Such as praying for the continuous growth of the house of God. However, the end time Church is ordained to be a church of multitudes. Further, he said these two things will come to pass before the end comes:
1. The Gospel Will Be Preached In All Nations
He read the book of Matthew 24:14 which says, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Two before the kingdom of God comes, the Gospel most have circulated around the Earth. This is very important.
2. Churches will become likekingdoms before Jesus comes, in terms of population, expansion, and all that
Ezekiel 36:37. Such as praying for the needs of members to be met thereby turning them into testimonials among men and attracting many into the kingdom. Praying for the breakthroughs of the saints so they can be turned into the envy of their world. Zechariah 8:23. Praying God’s blessings upon God’s people so that others can be attracted to our God.
