Christ Centered Series: The Chosen Season 4 Will Premiere New Season in Theatres in 2024
Next year, the latest season of the incredibly popular series “The Chosen” will be coming out in U.S. theaters. This is a unique event because it will be the first time that a streaming series premieres in theaters before becoming available on its usual streaming platform.
Starting on February 1st, all the episodes of Season 4 will be premiering in theaters. The first three episodes will be shown on that day. After two weeks, on February 15th, fans will be able to watch episodes 4-6. Then, on February 29th, the conclusion will air with episodes 7-8. “The Chosen” premiered the first and last episodes of Season 3 in theaters, which is a new experience as it’s the first time they have released every episode of a season in cinemas. According to a news release, once the full-season run in theaters is finished, “The Chosen” will announce its debut on various streaming platforms such as “The Chosen” TV and mobile apps, as well as broadcast and cable TV.
The series is based on the Bible and it tells the story of Jesus and his disciples. This is believed to be the first time that a streaming series has had the opportunity to premiere all of its seasonal episodes in theaters across the entire country. Fathom Events is the company responsible for distributing it. According to Kyle Young, who is the vice president of global distribution, The Chosen has broken numerous records with its previous theatrical releases. He mentioned that there is a demand for the series to be shown in theaters.
During a virtual news conference, Young expressed that the upcoming situation is going to be quite extraordinary. Our fans will have a great time engaging in a new and exciting way. I don’t think anyone has ever released an entire TV series in theaters. According to Dallas Jenkins, the director and creator of The Chosen, fans and viewers have consistently expressed their desire for more content whenever they have explored theatrical releases.
Jenkins expressed that after watching the Season 4 episodes, they realized it wouldn’t be fair to their fans if they didn’t give them the opportunity to watch them together on a large screen, where they could share laughter and tears with others. By the way, there will be another movie with a holiday theme coming out this Christmas season. According to a news release, “Christmas with the Chosen: Holy Night” will be shown in theaters from December 12th to 17th. This special event will combine previous episodes of “The Messengers” and “The Shepherd” into a single, newly remastered and re-scored story.
In the movie, there will be a performance by Matteo and Andrea Bocelli, along with seven other music performances and two new monologues.
