In Those Days In The Pentecostal Church Any Vehicle Higher Than A Volkswagen Beetle, This Is What They Consider It To Be – Bishop David Oyedepo Reveals

The cleric has revealed the mentality of the previous lifestyle common among Pentecostal churches in that, any vehicle that is higher than a Volkswagen Beetle is considered a sin. Whoever buys a car greater than that is considered a candidate for hell fire. According to the cleric, in those days church did not accept prosperity, hence poverty sat on the church. They would rent halls for service and refuse to pay. They would take permission to hold services in primary schools. It was that bad.

As shared by the cleric, back then, they preached the poverty they have in their mentality with every energy and passion and told people to beware of riches. They believed that suffering for Christ is what the Lord calls for. It is the act of long-suffering. Whoever would make it to heaven must live poorly and that fosters undivided consecration to God, at all times. Unknown to them, it was heresy, and against the will of God for them as believers.

The cleric has also stressed that, while believers’ inheritance is real, they can only access and take delivery as far as their eyes can see in the word of God. Believers have abundant blessings reserved for them by God. This entails having the revelation of the reality of these heavenly blessings before they could achieve them. Revelation is key to accessing believers’ inheritance in Christ.
