The General Overseer of Champions Royal Assembly, Prophet Joshua Iginla spoke today on “School of the Prophet” via a live broadcast on his verified Facebook handle. The prophet while speaking in the live program, narrated what transpired in his early life in the ministry. He shared this story to motivate younger pastors in Africa.
Prophet Joshua Iginla: “Whenever someone is doing better than you, you have to underscore and not undermining the situation. Ask yourself what else is he doing that I am not doing and what else does he know that I don’t know? Let me share with you my life experience in the early part of journey.
“I was in Ibadan for several years and our church was over 7 years. All of a sudden, my members started leaving my church to a nearby church. The guy can’t preach like me but my members where leaving me for him. I felt bad and I began to develop bitterness for the pastor. I concluded that he was using something on my ministry as at them.
“One day while I was lying down on my bed, something hit me to study that man. I came to church the next day, more than half of my members are there. I got angry and confronted one of them to know what is happening. The member told me she just likes the pastor but she has no reason why she keeps going there when she said I could preach better than the man. One day I disguised myself and went there for his program.
“I discovered the pastor was not a preacher but he was a good dancer. After leaving his members excited, he will now prophesy to 4-5 persons and dance again. At the end of everything, he will preach for few minutes. It was then I knew that he was gathering members but he will not be able to sustain them without the Word. I also learnt that I was keeping only few members for years because I don’t have an attractive force. I have the power to sustain them but I don’t have the power to attract people. That was how I went to God for Grace of Attraction.
