Pastor Kumuyi Reveals Why Believers Should Not Go To Preach The Gospel Empty Handed

Pastor W.F Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry spoke to his members about “Building The Church In The New Dispensation” at a recent Leadership Development Service.

As we strive toward building the church in the new dispensation, it is important that we prioritise preaching the gospel. The Lord has sent us to go into the world and preach the gospel and as we do that we should ensure that will convict, confront, compel and convert the sinners. We are also to confirm the word and conquer the world.

According to him, Christ has called us to go out and preach the gospel to every creature and it is an important mandate for every Christian. He then admonished Christians not to go and preach the gospel empty-handed. He said, “You go out there in the strength and power of the Lord. But you know, as we go, we don’t go empty-handed. We have what it takes and everything they need, we can give to them through Jesus Christ. If they are sick, you will heal them; if they are oppressed, you will deliver them. if they are poor, you will prosper them; if they are weak you will strengthen them.”

He said that we have the word, the anointing and everything it takes to meet the needs of the people. And so the Lord confirms the word. so when we are going out to preach the gospel, we shouldn’t go empty-handed but we should go with the power and the anointing of God on our lives. These can be transferred onto them through faith in Him.
