Lord, this is Your word for me, no matter what is happening In the world my story will be different. Church Gist. Go ahead and declare that in the Name of Jesus. Everything about your life in this season will be with testimonies in the Name of Jesus.

HOLY SPIRIT AND YOUR MIND. part 1.
Creativity and mind renewal.

God has a mind and that is why He thinks. Romans 11:34.
Jesus also has a mind 1 Corinthians 2:16.
The Holy Spirit also has His mind. Romans 8:27.
Now, God created you and I to have His kind of mind. Church Gist. Mind is one of the greatest gift of God to men. As children of God we have been given a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear but the Spirit of power, love and of sound mind”

Every child of God has the gift of a sound mind but very few are utilizing that mind. Church Gist. They can give me a car but if I don’t know how to drive it, the car is useless. Is that clear? That they gave me a car and I don’t know how to drive, of what use is the car? I will still enter transport except I am at the mercy of whoever knows how to drive it.
Every child of God has the gift of a sound mind but only very few are utilizing that gift. I pray for you that you will begin to utilize that mind.
2 Timothy 1:7, so it is already in you.

To be useful in life your mind has a role to play.
Redemption made us partakers of the mind of Christ. In 1 Corinthians 2:16. The mind of Christ is the ‘anointed mind’ because Christ means the ‘anointed one’. And if you have the anointed mind then the world also should mind you. Why the mind is so important? Do you know a physically disable man is counted during census but a mad man is not counted; He has all the features but his mind is not correct. They don’t count mad people during any census in this country yet he has everything but because of His mind. So when your mind is not put to use, you are not counted in life. So even the people counting census don’t count mad people yet they count a man on a wheelchair.

There was a man called Roosevelt who became the president of America on a wheelchair.
Your prosperity and success in life are determined by how much you put your mind to use.
3 John 1:2,” I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers”. The soul is made up of the will, emotions and mind. Church Gist. So how your mind prospers determines how you prosper and succeed in life. And I pray somebody will utilize his mind to make the best out of life.
It is God’s desire that you and I prospers but that cannot be actualized except we engage our mind productively.

Mind is in the compartment of the soul. Our mind Is so important to God that God made a statement in Philemon 1:4, “But without thy mind would I do nothing”, that means if your mind is not useful, God said, ” I can do nothing”.
With the mind we receive, analyze information. Do you know reasoning or thinking Is activity of the mind? And God wants us to reason with Him. God never said anywhere in the Bible, ”come let us pray together”. You pray for Him to answer but He said, ”come let us reason together”.
And I can tell you people don’t reason at all. Isaiah 1:18.
Prayer is important don’t misquote me please but God will never sit down to pray with you but He said let us reason together.
Now, in spite of this inestimable value of the mind, most Christians are concerned on only the Spirit and the body. They don’t develop their mind. They develop their Spirit; we fast a lot, we take time to develop our Spirit which is very good. We rub good cream, we wear good perfumes to keep our body strong but only very few people develop their minds.
In 1 Thessalonians 3:23, you will see that man is 3 dimensional; he is a spirit, he has a soul and dwells in a body. “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”.

Many are heavenly conscious and earthy useless. You have to be heavenly conscious and earthly useful.
The defining difference between a mediocre and a celebrity is the mind. To move from the position of mediocrity to becoming a celebrity is a function of the mind.
To move from failure to success, poverty to prosperity is the mind.
A wise man said, ” wealth is a function of man’s capacity to think”.
Do you know there are three sets of people on the earth:

The poor, the rich and the wealthy.
The poor always talk about money. If you hear anybody talking about money money is a poor man.
When you want to know a poor man like our nation, God will only deliver this nation from poverty. Every time they talk, “if I have money, if I have money”. If you hear any man say, “if I have money”, he is a poor man.
The rich talk about things, “if I can buy a car, if I can build houses, if I can get an estate”, that is a rich person. But the wealthy talk about how they can create ideas. The ideas is what brings the money. Are you getting what I am saying? Those who talk about ideas don’t talk about money. The wealthiest people in the world are men of ideas.
Steve Jobs who is late now, when he was alive was the first person to bring the iPad. When he came with the iPad nobody accepted the iPad, it was not acceptable, even his company people rejected it because then it was only phone and desktops. So when he came with something different, they said,no no no. He went ahead with it and that was what blew Apple. Everybody has tablets with them now.
Phone has been existing since, an idea brought the money. He never talked about money, he talked about an idea. May young people today stop talking about money and start talking about ideas. Shout a better Amen.

HOW TO DEVELOP YOUR MIND:

To develop your mind does not just happen, it is made to happen by conscious personal efforts. Church Gist. You must accept responsibility to do what is required to develop your mind. You have been given a sound mind but you will develop it. That it is a gift does not mean it will develop itself, you will have to develop it. So how do I develop my mind?

If they give you money and you don’t develop your mind, you will still be broke. And if you don’t have money and you develop your mind you will be rich. Have they not given you millions and you did nothing with them. You know the reason? The mind is not developed.
Nigeria will take loans upon loans and yet she is still poor because there is no development of the mind. The loans Nigeria has taken especially this dispensation is enough to make Nigeria very wealthy? True? But the poverty has increased because of mental development.
That somebody gives you money does not mean you will be rich or you will be wealthy. Is that clear?

1. Constantly upgrade your mind through knowledge: Just like the human body is developed constantly by eating and physical exercise you engage in. You know if you eat well and do some exercise, you will see your muscles building.

The Spirit is developed through knowledge and practice of the word. Acts 20:32, ” And now, brethren commend you to God, and to the word of His Grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among them which are sanctified”. 1 Peter 2:2, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby”.
In like manner, our mind is developed through knowledge. When you know better, you live better. When you know what others don’t know, you will be their head. And to be the head, something must be in your head.

The defining difference between the developed nations and the developing nations is just advanced mental development. And to develop your mind you must intentionally and constantly upgrade your mind with knowledge.

When you fail to upgrade your mind with new information, your mind will soon become obsolete and outdated. Never stop learning new things. To stop learning new things is to start dying. Old mind is not a function of age but a function of lack of mental updates.

Do you know mental exercise is more rigorous than physical exercise. Every you stretch your mind, you are tired and hungry. Do you know? Check when you are preparing for exams you get very hungry.
Thinking is work that is why they pay the manager more than the laborer.

Feed your mind with quality information knowledge.
Nothing changes until your mind changes. Your life will remain on the same spot until you change your mind. If you want your life to go forward then your mind has to be upgraded with knowledge. Say I hear. It is that clear?

The difference between a low performer and an excellent performer is knowledge. Be a voracious reader.
The difference between Apostle Paul and other Apostles is knowledge. He could accomplish more because of his depth of reasoning.
Apostle Paul’s mental capacity to present the gospel was astonishing. He was a lover of knowledge. He was a man of books. He was Spiritually sound and mentally smarter than others. Hear what Peter had to say about him to tell you how Paul was in his class. Peter said, 2 Peter 3:15-16 ” and account that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Hear what Paul told Timothy, In 2 Timothy, ” The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comedy, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments”.

When we were coming from Lagos to Port Harcourt, I never carried any cloth. Church Gist. I didn’t bother about the clothes, I said my books are the most important things. The only thing I supervised personally were my books because I can use the books to buy clothes. Are you hearing what I am saying?
When your life is stagnated, it shows your mind is stagnated.
1 Timothy 4:13 ” Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine”.
We think, it is money, money; going after money is a sign of poverty.
2 Timothy, “study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the world of truth”.

With all humility, I am an ardent lover of knowledge. I invest more in knowledge than anything else. When people are busy shopping for clothes, I look for books to buy.

Years ago, I acquired businesses in encyclopedia with hundreds of thousands of naira. Someone may ask what does a Pastor got to do with business in encyclopedia? I have spent millions to acquire knowledge on speed reading. I had to travel all the way from Nigeria to the United Kingdom, paid millions. The best in the world taught me speed reading, he is the best in the world. I had to pay for an executive class that runs to millions. You can’t take the best in that area to teach you, he will close down the conference room in the hotel to make sure you are taught. I didn’t mind the millions I spent, I wanted knowledge. Because I don’t like compiling books without reading them. The books were getting more and more and more and if I read the way they were taught in school, I won’t finish them. So I had to go and look at how.

What made me to learn speed reading, one day I was going with a man of God, Mike Murdock and he took my book, we were in a car, between the airport and his hotel room in Port Harcourt, he just took my book, he flipped through my book and he summarized my book between the airport and his hotel. I didn’t ask him questions oh because I don’t ask questions like that. He just took the book and flipped it before we got to his hotel he summarized the book.
I said there is something this man knows that I don’t know. So, I began to investigate and I discovered that it was speed reading. So I said okay, me too let me go for it and I paid a big price to go for it. In every endeavor including ministry, your result is determined by how much better you know than others.

How much you invest in your mind determines the dividends you enjoy in your life.
I have one of the richest libraries in this part of the world; I have business books, books on world affairs. The place can’t contain again so I am trying to shift because I will soon shift. Movement is continuous, we will move again to another place and i told them the biggest place they will build is my library and I already have the design of how the library will look like. I am thinking of how the library will be because I have gone to a place where I saw 12,000 books of a man of God. Hello?

Stop playing with your destiny and start investing in your mind.
When your life is stagnated, it shows your mind is stagnated. So upgrade your mind to upgrade your life.
Allowing your mind to lie dormant without reading will make you a dummy.
Many have never read any book since they left school. Reading makes you to be informed. If you want to know you are a reader, this is how you know, you will always have something to talk when people are talking with you. At every conversation, he will always have something to put in. And when people are talking you will have something to contribute. By the time they are talking, you are talking about land, how you will sell land, it shows your mind is not upgraded.

When your mind is upgraded, you will always have something new to share. Say I hear.
Napoleon Hill said and I quote, “more gold has been mined from the thoughts of men than it has ever been taken from the earth”. So you ‘mine gold through your thoughts and you lose gold through your thoughts. Great thinkers are always on demand. They don’t lack opportunities, they create opportunities.
Young boys invest in your minds.

I was reading a book of a great woman of God while preparing for this message and I took a quote from her. ” young girls stop investing in your hair and start investing in your head”. This quote is from Scripture and then I will quote exactly what she said, Proverbs 11:22, Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful face on an empty head”. And I quote Anne Smith, “a woman that invests in her hair more than she invests in her mind is a pretty foolish woman”. And in her book, I also read, ” a woman who invests in high heel shoes than books looks tall but lacks height in her intelligence”.

When your head is empty your beautiful face is useless. Please young people invest in your minds. Are you hearing what I am saying?
Don’t buy clothes, buy books. Listen to messages, do courses that will improve you and then all the things you are looking for will begin to look for you.
We live in a world that is dysfunctional where people don’t know what they want so they are always in want.
I sat in my library for not less than four hours, I was just working. I got to sleep this morning past 3, that was when I went to bed. Are you getting what I am saying now?

You don’t see greatness by wishing.
If I tell you something it will shock you, I am a miraculous man, true? It is easier for me to fast for miracles than to prepare this message. That is why people don’t go to this area. I can fast and wait on the Lord but this one you don’t wait on the Lord, you must combine books. You will carry this author you will read, carry another author you will read then sit down like a woman who wants to cook soup, you will now mix ingredients so they can balance well. You will think because there is a way you will prepare it and people will be confused instead of understanding. Pastors avoid this area.

2. Be a thinker: God Is a thinker, He thinks. Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 40:17. God wants us to be thinkers, be a ‘think tank’. Isaiah 1:18. The mind is for thinking. It is also for the storage of information and memory. The elasticity of your mind determines how far you go in life. When you give yourself to rigorous exercise of the mind through thinking your mind will begin to enlarge. Every time there is a serious challenge and you give yourself to real thinking, you will find out that solutions will begin to come. Have you observed that before? Hebrews 5:14. You are exercising your mind by thinking positively.
   Your mental faculties are developed by how much you subject them to productive thinking. You must be a good thinker if you must develop your mind. You must be solution-driven and to think it must be in line with Philippians 4:8. Your life will go in the direction of your predominant thoughts. Anything you keep thinking, that Is where your life will keep going.
   If you are sinking, watch what you are thinking. Anything you are thinking, that is what will occupy you more. Anything you keep thinking is what your life will tilt towards. Think great thoughts If you want to be super-successful. Don’t think where you are now, think where you want to be. If you want to do well in life, you must think well. Demons can’t stop a thinker. When you think very well you succeed. For instance, you don’t like going to work very early, you go to work late and you want to be successful? You said the shop opens by 9 am and you go there by 1 pm and you want people to come?
