Where Was Joseph The Father Of Jesus When Jesus Died?

Many people wonder where Joseph was when Jesus died. Scholars find Joseph’s life to be incredibly fascinating. The Bible doesn’t provide a lot of information about Joseph or his life, and that’s probably why people find Joseph’s story intriguing. Joseph played a significant role in both Jesus’ life and the New Testament.

Let’s talk about Joseph’s life.

There isn’t a lot of information about Joseph in the Bible. It is believed that he worked as a carpenter and likely passed down his skills to Jesus. However, we learn a great deal about Joseph’s character by observing his actions. When Mary was pregnant with Jesus, it was unusual for people to believe that she was still engaged because she was a virgin but expecting a child. She became pregnant through divine intervention because she was chosen to be the mother of Christ, which is referred to as the miraculous conception in Christianity.

During that period, numerous men would have criticized Mary, spreading rumors about her “infidelity” throughout the town, despite the fact that she hadn’t done anything wrong. In modern times, it has become more common for people to have pregnancies before getting married, whereas in the past, it was often seen as a terrible and horrific situation. Back then, there wasn’t much grace to be found. Additionally, it is believed that Mary would have been a teenager, with scholars estimating her age to be around 13.

Joseph didn’t want to bring shame and embarrassment upon Mary, so he decided to quietly end their wedding plans and separate from her in order to protect her reputation. Joseph’s gentle and kind nature is evident in that quality. We can also observe his character when Mary informs Joseph about her divine pregnancy. Instead of leaving her, he chooses to stay by her side. Would any men in the present day or during the time of the New Testament have chosen to remain with Mary? Once again, this demonstrates Joseph’s compassionate nature and the depth of his love for Mary.

When Mary was nearing the end of her pregnancy, she and Joseph had to travel because of the census. After Mary and Joseph arrived in Bethlehem, Mary gave birth to Jesus. Joseph was present throughout the entire time and most likely had to assist Mary in delivering the baby. He did everything he could to help and was thrilled that the baby was coming into the world. Joseph was older than Mary, and scholars have different opinions about how much older he was. There are differing opinions about his age compared to Mary’s. Some people think he was 10 years older, while others believe he could have been as much as 50 years older. However, it’s more probable that he was around 10 years older than her than 50 years older.

However, it is worth noting that Joseph was older than Mary. During Jesus’ upbringing and childhood, Joseph acted as a father figure and raised Jesus as his own child. It’s possible that he taught Jesus the trade of carpentry. Jesus began his ministry as an adult. However, Joseph is not mentioned again during Jesus’ ministry. However, it is worth noting that Mary is mentioned multiple times throughout Jesus’ ministry and was also present during his crucifixion and resurrection.

Actually, Joseph is not mentioned in the Bible. We don’t hear much about him after Jesus’ ministry and adult life because it’s likely that he has already passed away. The Bible doesn’t give us a specific timeframe for Joseph’s death, but it is generally believed that he passed away before Jesus began his ministry. The last time Joseph is mentioned is when Jesus stayed behind at the Temple at the age of 12. Mary and Joseph started searching for him. After three days, when they finally found him, Mary scolded him. She asked why he had treated them in such a way and told him how worried they had been while searching for him.

Joseph is consistently known for his kindness and gentle nature. In the same way, it’s never mentioned that Joseph is unkind to Jesus. He plays the role of a father figure to Jesus while on Earth. It’s possible that Jesus wasn’t aware of His true father, but He still held a deep respect for Joseph as His earthly father. Although it is mentioned that some of Jesus’ brothers did not believe in His identity, there is no mention of whether Joseph believed in this concept. Yes, it is true that Joseph probably passed away by now, but he would have believed that Jesus was the Messiah.

Considering all that Joseph had experienced and witnessed, it would be highly unlikely for him to not believe that Jesus was indeed the long-awaited Messiah. So, it’s probable that Joseph had already passed away before Jesus died. It seems that he passed away before Jesus began his earthly ministry, since he is not mentioned in the gospels after that point. It’s worth mentioning that if Joseph had been alive during Jesus’ crucifixion, he would have been there just like Mary was.

Jesus was not biologically related to Joseph, but Joseph loved him and raised him as his own child. Unfortunately, the Bible doesn’t provide many details about Joseph’s death, but it does give some context about the time when he passed away. The most important thing is how Joseph took responsibility and looked after Jesus and Mary.
