4 Reasons no Pastor should sleep with his wife on Sunday morning before Church

The calling of a pastor is a higher calling, and it carried a lot of sacrifices. That is why the office is not just for everybody.

A pastor was once quoted to have said that he sleeps with his every Sunday before going to mount the pulpit. That is not ordinary, it had become a ritual.

Some pastors are hireling. They just occupy our pulpits for nothing. A life of a pastor is for others and not for himself.

Below are five reasons pastors should not make love with their spouses before service on Sunday.

1. The spiritual implication

Pastors need their antenna to be completely in tune with the Holy Spirit. Sleeping with your spouse in the morning is a big distraction from your assignment.

2. Energy level

As a pastor, before mounting the pulpit, you need to conserve your energy for the service. Sex makes your energy level to go down. Since pastors, don’t eat on Sunday morning before service. You will need to manage your energy level.

3. Time factor

Where is the time that you have for all that? If you are a true pastor, you will know that time for preparation for the service is never enough. You need to devout more time to be with the Holy Spirit and not to satisfy carnal longing.

4. It doesn’t show seriousness

Your assignment as a pastor is a serious one. The time you have in bed with your spouse is for fun. Your Sunday morning should be dedicated to your spiritual assignment, which is a serious one.

The calling of pastors, not for everybody. That is why, I’m not surprise anytime a pastor resigns to face reality of life. A lot of pastors are out there who doesn’t know what it means to be a pastor. May you fulfill your ministry in Jesus name.
