Bishop David Oyedepo Reveals The Mistake He Nearly Made That Would Have Ruined The Ongoing Ark Project

Divine direction is one of the most important things a Christian can receive from God. God is omniscient, which means he knows the outcome of every step you take before you even take them. Allowing yourself to be led by such a God will save you a lot of trouble.

Bishop David Oyedepo has revealed one mistake he nearly made that would have ruined the ongoing Ark Legacy project, if he did not hear from God and take correction. He made this revelation as he taught yesterday during the midweek communion service, on the person and ministry of the Holy Spirit.

He explained that the Holy Spirit was given to us to help us, and we need to receive his help for every area of our lives. He began to give various instances of how the Holy Spirit had spoken audibly to him, giving him direction on different aspects of his life.

He revealed that he would have messed up The Ark Project if he built it on the location he wanted it to be built, rather than where God wanted it to be built.

“God told me, I will not go there with you. Immediately we changed our plans,” he said. “Imagine if God did not go there with us. That means this whole effort will be wasted. People would have stayed here, they would not have gone there.”

The Ark is the new auditorium currently being constructed by the Living Faith Church. It is estimated to be about 100,000 seater in capacity, which is about two times the Faith Tabernacle, which at one point, was the largest church auditorium in the world. It is a project running into billions of naira.

With that perspective in mind, think of how much time, money and effort would have been wasted, if the plans that went into building the auditorium were not authorised by God. It is a good thing that Bishop Oyedepo was able to retrace his steps quickly when he heard the Holy Spirit’s direction.
