Meet the only mentor of Dr. D.K. Olukoya who is still very much alive, Pst. M.A. Adeoye.

What is mentorship?

Mentorship can be defined as the relationship between two people where the individual with more experience, knowledge, and connections is able to pass along what they have learned to a more junior individual within a certain field. The more senior individual is the mentor, and the more junior individual is the mentee.

Dr. Olukoya is the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles, headquarters of which is in Lagos State, Nigeria. He is a renown Man of God whose deep interest is in the area of deliverance.

It has been well said, that “if you want to go far (or see far), you must stand on the shoulder of a father”“. This simple means that if you will succeed in any area of chosen field, you must have a mentor, someone who has walked the path successfully before and can therefore guide and lead you in the right way to go.

The question therefore is, as successful as Dr D.K. Olukoya is, who is (or are) his mentor(s)?

Dr. Olukoya has quite some few mentors, most of whom have gone to be with the Lord. Most of his mentors are elderly pastors from Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). His number one mentor is Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola, the pioneer General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church who has since gone to be with the Lord.

However, Dr. Olukoya has a mentor who is still very much alive (the only one remaining alive out of all his mentors) whose name is Pastor M.A. Adeoye.

Pastor M.A. Adeoye was the officiating minister who delivered sermon during the Celebration of Life of Dr. Olukoya’s late mother, Ma Janet Olukoya (who died at the age of 95 years) at the MFM international headquarters, Lagos.

Dr. Olukoya made this known during “Kairos” a question and answer programme done once in a year by the youth wing of the church where the Man of God addresses any question thrown at him by the youth members of the church.

It will however be recalled that this year’s Kairos programme was held online due to the shutdown of churches because of the Coronavirus pandemic.
