Pastor Adeboye narrates the events that followed the arrival of a rich, paraplegic chief at our camp for prayer.

On November 6, 2022, during the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s Sunday service, General Overseer and Pastor E. A. Adeboye delivered a sermon titled “Overflowing Blessings: Thanksgiving Service.” He advised people not to place their reliance on riches or money since, if they do, those things will go.

He then related the tale of a wealthy chief who remarked, “I described a chief who was incredibly wealthy and had a home with 39 rooms. He became ill and became paralyzed from the waist down. He spent months at the top hospital in the United Kingdom after being sent there. We should let this man go, as the professor there declared one day. Let’s stop stealing from him. The chief admitted it was a pin when the professor displayed a very lengthy pin to him. As he inserted the pin into the chief’s leg, the professor instructed him to observe. The chief said “no” when the man inquired whether he was feeling anything.

“Please don’t let us waste your time,” the professor pleaded. You cannot be helped; return home. When they took the chief home, one of the young ladies who lived there went to him and said, “Sir, I know a preacher.” He will be able to help you walk again if he prays. Brief incarnation: they transported the elderly guy to the camp. He was a huge man; getting him out of the vehicle required four strong men.

He said, “I explained to him that according to the Bible, if the spirit of the person who raised Jesus Christ from the grave (Romans 8:11) Please dedicate your life to Jesus Christ, sir. He gave his life to Jesus after only a brief sermon from me, and we prayed a short prayer together. He returned to his automobile on foot. My argument is that he would have perished from being unable to walk if that girl hadn’t notified him. That girl was wealthy in her faith rather than in cash. If you know Jesus Christ, please tell others! Let people who are unfamiliar with him realize that Jesus Christ is who He claims to be.
