WRONG MINDSETS YOU MUST CHANGE BEFORE MARRIAGE

Proverbs 4:23 Says: “Keep And Guard Your Heart With All Vigilance: for out of
it are the issues of life.
Nobody succeeds in marriage with wrong mentality. Marital success does not start from the altar; it begins from the mind. There are many things that are general beliefs but are contrary to the word of God.
If you must succeed in marriage, you will need to change the following mind-set
before saying “yes I do”
- “Marriage is a necessary evil. Or marriage is a battle field.”
This is a lie from the pit of hell.
Marriage is not a necessary evil. It is not a battle field. Marriage is good, lovely, romantic, wonderful, and precious.
Marriage is a good thing. Proverbs 18:22, Genesis 2:18-25.
Don’t enter marriage with fear that it is a battle field.
Marriage is Designed For Better Living. It Is Designed For Higher Dimension Of Success, Progress And Victory. Marriage Is A Blessing! Its Ordained For Favorable Living and Joyful living. Marriage is a Place Of Love, Friendship and Romance. It is never a battle ground!
When You Build Your Marriage On Scriptural Principles, Your Home Will Be Heaven On Earth! Seek God Together, Pray Together, Read Together, Love Together, Worship Together & Grow Together!
In order for you to succeed in marriage, you must fully understand what marriage is all about. The marriage you don’t prepare for will confuse you when you get there. It is your preparation that determines your experience in marriage.
2. “Men cannot be trusted.
All men are the same.”
This is another lie.
In marriage, don’t generalize issues.
A lady’s post on her Facebook wall stated that all men are the same and cannot be trusted. She was indirectly suggesting that all men are involved in vices namely smoking, womanizing, drunkenness or lying.
To her, no man is exempted from any of them, meaning that every man is involved in at least one of the ugly acts.
Many of her friends “liked” her post. They agreed that what she posted was right. In fact, a particular girl was even placing curses on men and called them dogs, players and devils. She was waging a war against men on Facebook.
Such a mindset should be changed if you desire a joyful marriage.
The fact that one or two men broke your heart does not mean all men are
the same.
Godly men don’t smoke, lie, drink, womanize or break people’s hearts.
Your ignorance about principles of godly relationships may push you into the trap of ungodly men who are looking for whom to devour. Ignorance could be deadly.
There are godly men who have
integrity. They live by the Word of God.
3. “Women are necessary evil.”
Women are not evil. They are not devils.
Sometimes ago, a man posted a picture of a woman, a snake, a lion and a demon and asked people to choose the most dangerous among them.
When I was going through the comments, I discovered that 99% of the
people wrote that women are the most dangerous among them. This is
a lie from the pit of hell.
The fact that you know one woman that is evil does not mean all women are evil.
Women are beautifully and wonderfully
made. They are special gifts to us from God. They make the world beautiful.
4. “The devil you know is better than the angel you don’t know.”
This is a lie. There is no good devil.
This is a wrong notion that has made many singles to settle down with people that are not suitable for marriage.
5. “All mothers in law are bad.”
This is another lie. No wonder some
single ladies are praying for their mother in laws to die before they marry their sons.
All mothers in laws are not bad. You can turn your mother in law to mother in love by wisdom and love.
6. “Love no longer exists.” .
Change your mentality. True love still exist. There are many men and women who are still honest, loyal and faithful. This set of people are rare to find but are the best to stick with.
True love still exists. You can still find true love but only in the Lord. A true child of God who fears the Lord won’t deceive you and mess up your life.
7. MY MONEY IS MY MONEY! BUT MY HUSBAND MONEY IS OUR MONEY!!!
Dear single ladies, you must understand that marriage is a team work. Teamwork
improves your marriage, brings you and your spouse closer together, lightens your loads and increases your love. If you desire a great marriage, you and your spouse must work together as a team.
Note that money earned by either spouse belongs to the family. Once you are married,
you are now one. Change your vocabulary- It is “our money”, not “my money”. So both of
you should use your money to run the family. Put your resources together to run your family.
Two are better than one because they have a better result for their labour. Work as
a team.
Marriage is a partnership. So provision should be mutual. Money earned by the two of you, irrespective of who is bringing in more belongs to you both.
If you must build the marriage of your dream, you must change every wrong mindset that is not in line with the Scripture.
You will not fail in marriage in Jesus name
