The clergyman reportedly claimed that she said, “Reorganize your lifestyle to reflect how God sees you.” She continued, saying, “Walk with pride and decency.” Smart walking conveys wellbeing and a sense of direction. And by doing so, you will make the most of God’s grace in your life and have an impact on the world. The influence, whether in a job or in life, is difficult to measure but will be felt more by those close to you.

Even little actions taken at home, deeper conversations had at work, and a focus on impact rather than merely “managing” are all steps in the direction of something lasting and true. Therefore, you are in a better position to make strategic and operational decisions if you have a clear understanding of what your effect is, what it takes to achieve it, and how it ties to your organizational purpose.
