10 Things Christians Do Foolishly in the Name of Faith

10 Things Christians Do Foolishly in the Name of Faith.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen as a concept (Heb. 11:1). However, we must caution against relying on faith to make poor decisions. Many Christians have done things that they are not supposed to do because of their beliefs. Unfortunately, the results were not what they had hoped.

However, here are ten examples of Christians doing foolishly in the name of faith:

1. Fighting the devil in his territory when you are not in good standing with God and have a low fire level. This is not faith, but folly, as the book of Acts 19:15 clearly states.

And the Evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?”

2. Not doing anything to put food on you table in the name of “God will provide”. It is a clear portrayal of foolishness and not faith. Good understanding from the book of 2 Thessalonians 3 : 10 which says

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat

Ladies should however ensure that they ask their husband what he does for a living before they agree to marry him.

3. Failure to avoid everything and anything that is harmful to your health. Your body is the Temple of God, yet eating ice blocks all the time is not a sign of faith because it can cause Pneumonia. It is not faith to ruin your body and claim to have faith. It is, nevertheless, recommended that you understand what they desire for their bodies.

4. Borrowing money without a project or a plan to pay it back, as well as borrowing money beyond your financial capability. This is a dumb act, not one of trust. We should then make sure that we do not take on a new debt when we are already in debt.

5. Refusing medical diagnosis and prescription when you are sick even when you don’t have enough faith to reject it. Any day you fall sick, don’t apply faith because it has failed. If you really have faith you will not fall sick.

6. Getting married to the wrong person and expecting them to change afterward is a sign of folly, not faith. People do not change once they marry; rather, they improve on what they were doing before they married. He advises them to never use their hands and to avoid marrying a problem.

7. Eating with an enemy whom God has revealed to you and believing that the enemy is incapable of harming you. According to Matthew 26:23 in the Bible,

And he answered and said unto them, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me”,

However, if God reveals an enemy to you, you should ensure that you don’t use any kind of faith to relate with them.

8. Not putting money aside for the future because you believe your future is bright. There will be no bright tomorrow if you do not save and invest for the future you see.

9. Taking on too many projects at once when you don’t have the resources to complete even one. Always try to do anything in a year. If you want to marry, you should concentrate on that instead of building a house; when they married, they can then build a house.

10. Attempting big things before demonstrating your faith in small matters. It’s a blunder, not a leap of faith. Make sure you’ve created a Bungalow before you build a Duplex. Make sure you’ve visited the markets in Onitsha, Lagos, or Cotonou before heading to Dubai to buy things.
