Childhood and education
Nigerian televangelist and charismatic pastor Emmanuel Omale He is the founder and leader of the Christian organization Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministry, which operates the Divine Hand Television station out of Abuja.
In Nigeria’s Kogi State, in Anyigba, is where Omale was born. His sociology degree was obtained from the University of Abuja. He received an honorary doctorate in divinity from a foreign university in 2007.
Ministry
The founder and head of the Divine Hand of God Prophetic Ministry is Omale. Before permanently relocating to Abuja, he established his church in Anyigba, Kogi State, and afterwards at Kogi State University. South Africa and the UK both have locations for the church. Through his church, Omale has helped others who are less fortunate, such as women, children, and the homeless.
Controversy
Omale’s name was brought up in an investigation report on the EFCC’s operations by the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit, or NFIU, on July 12, 2020, during the arrest and interrogation of Ibrahim Magu, the former acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, by the presidential probe panel in Nigeria. A landed property in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, valued at 573 million naira, was allegedly purchased by Omale through his bank, First City Monument Bank, on Magu’s behalf in 2016. Through his attorney, Omale refuted the accusations, and he then filed a lawsuit for 1 billion naira against the News Agency of Nigeria over the story.
Between 10 August to 12 August 2020, the presidential probe panel invited Omale, his wife, Deborah Omale and the managing director and chief executive officer of First City Monument Bank, Adam Nuru to testify before it. During the testimony, Nuru said that Omale never had such cash but a system error on 16 January 2016 credited him and 27 others with 573 million naira each, noting the bank only discovered the error upon invitation to appear before the panel. On 5 September 2020, Omale sued First City Monument Bank in a 5 billion naira lawsuit, citing that the bank falsely reported to the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit that 573 million naira was paid into his church account. On 27 September 2020, the bank publicly apologized to Omale, noting they regretted the error that led to the transfer of the money to his account.
Personal life
Omale is an Igala from the state of Kogi. In 2013, he married Deborah Omale, and the two of them have two kids.
